Bulu Box is the first health, nutrition and weight loss discovery subscription box designed to help you feel your best. Each month, you’ll get a custom box filled with a new mix of 4 to 5 premium samples from top brands to try. Every sample is sufficient enough to decide if the product is right for you which is really great since supplements and weight loss products can be pretty pricey, this is a great box for those who like to try products before you buy.
I absolutely LOVE the motivational quotes on the box!
I was so excited to try receive a Bulu Box and was even more pumped when I saw what was included in the box!!
2 packets of Quest Protein?! What?! I am usually a strictly chocolate protein kinda girl and I was actually really impressed with the peanut butter flavor. It tastes amazing and with only 1 gram of sugar it is definitely another protein option I can get on board with! I added mine to smoothies and lots of ice, but it would also taste great if used when baking.
The Earth Care Anti-Itch Cream has been used the most! In SWLA bug bites are very common so this cream has been very handy. It works great and has a cooling effect with it. This will be a staple in my house!
Mediterra Savory Bar with Sundried Tomato and Basil was really not my favorite, but only because I am not a fan of savory bars. It didn’t taste bad at all and would be great for a snack for people that don’t crave sweets as much as I do.
My husband ate the Motvit Energy Gummies during one of his long runs and he said they tasted great and worked just as well as the GU Chews.
The Yerba Prima Fiber Plus Powder (Apple Spice Flavored) looks really interesting…I have tried it yet, but I think it would definitely need to be mixed with juice, tea or something with some flavor.
Overall I was very impressed with my BULU box and so thankful that I had the opportunity to try it! Head on over to BuluBox and use the code SWEATPINK for 50% off a 3-month subscription to BuluBox.
Over this past weekend I hit 6 weeks post op from my hysterectomy!! Wahoo!!
I really didn’t think I would miss exercising… I was actually looking forward to an excuse to take a break. That was before I realized how quickly our bodies lose muscle mass and where there was once muscle now there is flab! So not cool!! I worked way too hard to lose any muscles I had so quickly.
Today I am allowed to WALK!! Soooo Fitbit on and I am heading outside for a little exercise! It has been 6+ weeks since I have been able to exercise and I am so ready to start moving again! I have to begin with walking, but at least it’s something.
I am hoping my FitBit will give me an idea of many steps I average in a day and how many more I should aim for each day. Anyone else use a FitBit? What is a good daily goal?
I am so excited about this brand new group starting soon, 30 Days to a Healthier, Better You!!
Over the past few months I have really slipped back into some old, unhealthy habits and as a result I have been feeling sluggish, tired, irritable, and I have gained weight. I am now proud to say that I am climbing my way out the hole that I allowed myself to fall in because of poor choices; however, it is NOT EASY! I know how it feels to want to give up. I also know very well how it feels when I do give up and have to constantly start over.
What I have finally figured out is that I can not do this alone. When it comes to eating right and staying committing to an exercise program I will fail every time without my faith and support from others. It may seem odd to ask God to help you with eating right and exercising, but let me assure He wants to help you in EVERY area of your life. When I finally decided to include Him in my lifestyle change immediately I felt confident that I could actually do this and be successful.
As a part of my new group, 30 Days to a Healthier, Better You, I will teach you how I changed my mindset and completely rely on strength from the Lord to carry me through each day. We will work daily on not only building your physical strength, but your mental and spiritual strength as well. We will work through the book “Devotions For A Healthier You” together each morning so that we can start our day with a success oriented mind set. (book purchase not required)
Each person that commits to the group will join me and the other committed participants in a private Facebook group for 30 days. Each day will start with a devotion and prayer. Throughout the day I will also post motivation, guidance, health & fitness tips and support everyone throughout the 30 day journey. I will work individually with each person on creating a meal plan customized for their needs and lifestyle. I will also help find the perfect exercise program that you can do individually in the comfort of your home. We will talk about your exercise preferences, time allotted for workouts, and fitness level to find the right program for you! Plus as a part of the group I will support you daily and hold everyone accountable to the becoming a Healthier, Better You!
Are you ready to commit to becoming a Healthier, Better You?!?! I would love to have you as a part of my group! Please fill out the short form below and I will be in touch with your very soon!
**I must be 100 % honest – the group will not be free. My monthly challengers get my best work energy all month, so I limit the number of spots to make sure we can really get to know one another & develop new healthy habits, not just a 30-day quick fix.
Of course, it is not just about the money. That’s why I give so many tips on social media daily. I want to help everyone! But in addition to wanting to respect my paying clients & my #1 job of raising my kiddos, I’ve seen over and over again that people are most likely to stay committed when they’ve made an investment in themselves. I want you to have that accountability advantage!**
I started out the year by posting my 10 goals for 2015, and I decided to post monthly recaps on these goals to really help me stay accountable.
I have not done as well with these goals as I had originally planned, but this is why I wanted to share this with you…I have just had a little wake- up call going over these goals. I definitely need to focus more and make a daily to -do list with these goals in mind. Let’s review:
1. Read 52 personal development books this year, 1 a week. I ended up reading 3 books in January.
Sun Stand Still by: Steven Furtick – This was such a great book by one of my favorite pastors. The book teaches and challenges us to ask and believe God for the impossible and take full advantage of the awesome power that is available to us from the Holy Spirit. The title, Sun Stand Still comes from a passage in the Bible, Joshua 10, describing a highly unusual event. Joshua prayed and God caused the sun to stand still for a full extra day. The book will definitely challenge you to start living a life beyond the ordinary.
The next book I read was The Slight Edge by: Jeff Olsen. I really enjoyed this book a lot! It was quite an eye opener to me. The author talks about how everyday we have the choice to lead a life towards happiness and success or choose a path towards average and ordinary. By choosing to do daily, consistent behaviors that will add up towards fulfilling our goals in life we will have an edge over someone that chooses not to do those same behaviors which in turn will lead towards a life of unfilled goals and dreams. The ideas of the book sound simple, but it is something we all need to hear.
2. Read 2 books a month out loud with the kids, along with a daily devotion.
In January we read a BoxCar Children’s book together. It was a fun read and I am glad we read this out loud together; it was not a book that my boys would have picked up on their own but I want them to enjoy some of the books I enjoyed in my childhood. We started on our 2nd book for the book but did not finish at the month’s end.
We are also reading Jesus Calling: 365 devotions for kids. This has become a nightly routine for us and we are all really enjoying reading God’s word and studying more about specific situations that relate to children.
3. Follow a budget and work towards becoming debt free.
We are working on this and I am believing and praying on becoming completely debt free in 2015. We have a couple of exciting things coming up that should help us achieve this; hopefully I will be able to share with you soon!
All of January I followed the 21 Day Fix workout calendar! I did not get as strict with the meal plan that I should have and the results suffered because of that. I have decided to switch things up and instead of moving into Insanity Max 30, I am starting 21 Day Fix EXTREME in Feb!! I plan to go ALL IN with this one and can’t wait to share my results with you!!
